The angelic voice of Natalie

Updated: Mar 24, 2021

This is Natalie Ingrisano, soprano. I invite you to read a little bit about Natalie and enjoy her photographs.

Natalie Ingrisano is a classical music singer based in Seattle, Wa. I was asked to create images for Natalie to use for her website and other marketing needs.

“ I stopped breathing and I am positive that I didn't breathe for the entire time she was singing. The voice filled my kitchen, my house and my whole being."

I quote the following from Natalie's website to give you an idea what she is up to. "Soprano Natalie Ingrisano has enjoyed performing as a soloist, chamber singer, and professional chorister in the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and Italy. She has sung for audiences that have ranged from intimate community concerts (Pacific MusicWorks Sanctuary in the City, Seattle, 2018) to large venues with 25,000 attendees (Chicago’s United Centre, 2013)."

Aria in the kitchen

I had such a good time working with this young lady. I met Natalie through her mom, who happens to be my functional medicine nurse practitioner. When Natalie was visiting her mom in Nanaimo we met and set up a date for a photo session. Natalie is a very kind and down to Earth person. She cares about people and their rights. She is funny, talented and beautiful. Did I mention I liked working with her? Ha, ha, but I don't want to repeat myself saying how great she is, so here is a little story from the shoot.

When we finished our session - which included hair and makeup styling, four outfit changes, many different setups and lots of laughter - we sat down at the kitchen table to unwind and have a little chat. We talked about art and music. Natalie already knew I love opera. Suddenly she stood up and started singing an aria from The Marriage of Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. She sang Deh vieni non tardar, (sung by the character Susanna). I am positive I stopped breathing and didn't breathe for the entire time she was singing. The voice filled my kitchen, my house and my whole being. I still have goose bumps just thinking about it. It was pure magic and I will always be grateful for that experience.

Thank you Natalie, for choosing me as your photographer.
