Free yourself with a boudoir session!

Why having a boudoir/intimate portrait session is a great idea? Because it can bring positive changes into your life. If you don’t believe me, I can tell you that I’ve seen it many times. I've experienced it myself too.

Every scar and every wrinkle is a sign of love, joy, loss, happiness, struggle, in one word, life.

I grew up and lived most of my life without taking selfies (there was no such thing). I was always the one taking pictures of my family, and I never wanted to be in pictures. To be honest, I grew up and lived most of my life with low self-confidence and self value.

A few years ago, when I started my photography business, I realized I will need to put myself out there eventually. I took many videos and selfies, and I had a few self-portrait photo shoots. It was hard for me in the beginning, but I soon realized I was starting to accept myself a little bit more every day. My physical features, my accent, my flaws and signs of ageing. At the time, I couldn’t imagine putting a photo of myself out there for the public to see when I was in my 20's, 30's, 40's. And I am doing it now. And it feels good (well, it feels ok). It's still a work in progress and an everyday challenge. But it's also liberating and it’s bringing me feelings of contentment, confidence and acceptance of who I am.

When it comes to my clients, I can see changes in most of them after they've had a portrait session with me. Sometimes small, sometimes big, radical changes. But always, changes for the better. It’s one of the best feelings to watch my client looking at her photos, seeing herself in a brand new light. Most of the time, while tearing up, she can see that she truly is beautiful.

Why do I call these sessions boudoir/intimate portrait sessions?

I photograph women of all ages. However, most of my clients are mature women. I did boudoir shoots for women in their 30's and for women in their late 60's. I did portrait sessions for women in their 90's. Boudoir

can have many different styles and looks. It all depends on the photographer's style and on each individual shoot design. There is sometimes a very thin line between boudoir, portrait and art photography. I love to design every session to suit my client's needs and wishes, and their personalities. I focus on who they are and I want to create photos which will express that. For some women it means more sensual (more boudoir, if you will) session, for others the ideal photo will show them in a sheet, dress, or a simple shirt.

Boudoir has so many different sides and I can design a perfect session to fit your personality.

Here are some examples of different styles:

bodyscapes are great choice for wall art

romantic, light and airy boudoir

emotional portraits

elegant & classy boudoir

sensual boudoir

casual, fun, and down to earth boudoir

Don't be intimidated by the word boudoir. It can have many different styles and that's why I also call these intimate portrait sessions. This is all about you being comfortable and being yourself. And I will help you do just that. We can create an album for yourself or as a gift for your loved one, or we can create a beautiful wall art which will remind you every day how awesome you are.

Why should you book a photo session with me?

Because I understand.

We are busy, going through life, taking care of the kids, family, house, careers. Time flies by so quickly that we don’t realize that, we too, are ageing. We are on the go, and most of the time, don’t have time to think about ourselves. Until one day, when the kids move out and we look in the mirror and ask ourselves ‘where have all the years gone?'

We still feel the same inside, we still have dreams and love to laugh. We still feel the same, but the world sees us differently. Sometimes we feel invisible. We want to be seen, we want to be heard and we want to make a difference in the world more than ever. Some of us start a career later in our lives, some of us want to retire and enjoy travelling, gardening or being with grandkids. Some women still have kids at home and still try every day to find balance between being a good mom and managing it all, while staying true to themselves. Some of us are in our 20's or 30's finding a place in the world, building families and careers. And all of us want to be seen for who we really are.

I understand. And I am here to hear you and to see you. More than that. I am here to take what I see, what I hear and what I understand and put it right in front of you…. in your photos. So, you can see and understand yourself. See and understand who you are. That you are remarkable, extraordinary woman. That you can be proud of your scars, your grey hair, your wrinkles, your extra pounds. That you realize every scar and every wrinkle is a sign of love, joy, loss, happiness, struggle, in one word, life. And that, not despite of those “flaws”, but because of them, you are special.

.

Come and talk to me. I will listen. I will tailor the photo shoot just for you.

Is boudoir session for you? Yes, it is!
